Captain Scott writing in his journal

Captain Robert Falcon Scott spent a good deal of his time in the small den he used as an office and bedroom. In his hut, Scott wrote reports, made plans for the forthcoming attempt on the Pole and penned his diaries, which were published after his death as ‘Scott’s Last Expedition’. Ponting was proud of this photograph and felt he had captured something of the leader in it.
